First day in my new apartment was dead quiet. I left a cord at home so I couldn't turn on my computer, and I had no radio. Then my roommate left in a big hurry so she didn't take out the TV. It was horrible, being cut off from civilization.

Well, not completely cut off. While I was sitting in the living room in the middle of the night, a helicopter flew right past the window while heading to the hospital across the street. It was pretty cool. (I'm sure this will outgrow its coolness once I have been disturbed in my sleep by a few of these.)

Only one more day of summer vacation left! So sad!
