Whoever said a female body is beautiful never looked at these scary human anatomy atlas drawings of the reproductive system. I mean, after I got past the discomfort-in-my-pelvic-area sympathy pains (there's pictures of outer flaps of skin spread unnaturally wide open...shudder...), it's still just a bunch of holes and muscles and fat and little organs. What's so great about that?

And the human body in general becomes pretty darn ugly once you stare at it for awhile. Take our face for instance. We have a perfectly smooth surface, and then what happens? These holes start popping up right smack in the middle to ruin the perfect continuity of the skin, like an annoying speedboat making tidal waves across a lovely, serene lake. And these aren't ordinary holes either. The slits for the eyes have lots of tiny little hairs jutting out of it. It's rather disgusting actually. Can you picture that on your arm, where you have a nice smooth area and then suddenly, there's a row of hairs sticking straight up at a 90 degree angle?

I guess our bodies are like Seurat paintings; get too close and all you see are the ugly blobs of nonsense colours.

(Yes yes, I've been studying anatomy all day long. Leave me alone.)
